Ski Jackson Hole Wyoming Lodging
Jackson Hole Condos provide home away from home comforts
Jackson Hole has three world class ski resorts and enough natural snow to make you cry. If you’re new to winter activities on the snow; don’t be nervous. Jackson Hole has plenty of classes, camps, personal instructors, and beginner’s runs to help even the most novice skier.
Besides the snow, what sets Jackson Hole apart from other ski resort communities? It’s like Nags Head to Martha’s Vineyard. While it’s always fun to see Hollywood stars walking on the wooden sidewalks of Jackson, it’s reassuring to be in a place where they don’t get treated that much differently than the rest of us. It’s because Jackson Hole isn’t about A star sightings, it’s about snow, water sports and the old West. Locals don’t cater to Hollywood elite; everybody’s treated like an equal here.
Jackson Hole’s accommodations range from the truly luxury resort settings down to safe, clean, hostel type arrangements. You’ll find 50+ restaurants in a 15 mile radius within Jackson Hole. Jackson Hole ambience created by quirky landmarks like the Town Square marked by 4 antler arches make even chain hotels seem a part of the Wild West.
Skiing is not the only thing that Jackson Hole has to offer visitors. Almost 97% of the land in Teton Valley is public property in the form of parks, forests, and reserves. Imagine having that in your backyard? Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk Refuge, the Teton Wilderness and Yellowstone National Park, all within your reach. Literally dozens of summer and winter activities and events await you here: hiking, wild-life sighting, fishing, water sports, horse-back riding, biking, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, even hot air ballooning, all happening right here.
Jackson Hole Trivia:
• The Inversion Effect: Typically, higher elevations have colder temperatures. Yet sometimes in Jackson Hole and in other valleys, warm air coming from the mountains traps the cold air in the valley. This effect, called an Inversion or a Stable, causes temperatures to be warmer at higher elevations.
• Hollywood Hang Out: For Harrison Ford, who owns an 800 acre ranch in Jackson Hole, and Sandra Bullock who has a house there as well.
